I am a Marriage Celebrant in the Clarence Valley.

I love weddings.  Plain and simple.  Each wedding has their own special magic and that magic is shared with all of the guests. And I am extremely lucky as I get to witness these magical moments lots of times throughout each year.

My first wedding was in 2006, and I have been hooked ever since. My first couple was the beautiful Meredith and the wonderful Wayne.

I got married to Joe in 2001. Joe is a Tucabia lad, and his family origins go way back to the first white settlement of the Clarence River, so he is a Valley man, through and through.

My mother giving me away……….and suggesting that I shouldn’t ever need to move back to her place again.

I have moved many times in my life, having lived in Sydney, Corowa, Newcastle,  Lawrence, Brooms Head Melbourne, Byron Bay, the South Coast of NSW, and now Grafton.

The magical back beach at Brooms Head.

I was a Library Manager for a great number of years, in Sydney at Campbelltown and on the South Coast of NSW. I was also the Grafton Branch Librarian many years ago when I was a young woman, and the Grafton Library was still in Prince Street.

I have one daughter, and two granddaughters, and they live in the city.

My daughter as a young girl. Opening Christmas presents.

Hubby and I share our lives with our much loved pets.

Mungo and Otis. Surveying the neighbourhood.

Felix and Finbar lying wherever they please. (white cat hair is a nightmare).

I have just completed my Diploma of Family History from the University of Tasmania, and when I have time I love finding new information about people on our family trees. And, this does include visits to cemeteries!

An ancestor.

And now, Hubby and I are back. He is running his own business, and I am now a Marriage Celebrant in the Clarence Valley. Perfect.

To be continued, next week!
